About

Christabelle Mizzi was born in Malta in 2002. She is reading for her final year, Bachelor (HONS) in Fine Art from MCAST, Institution of Creative Arts. Her introduction to art started from home coming from a family with a supportive attitude for the arts which inspired her interest in Art.

Mizzi’s work explores the narrative and representation through contemporary drawing, sculpture, and installation techniques. Initially, her work started from the connection of automatic drawing techniques with synesthesia from the influence of audio and music. Her current thesis research has progressed more into the topic of feminine representation within the graphic novel scene and connecting it to the abstract style.

Christabelle Mizzi has exhibited her work in a local art café in Valletta called Kuncett as her first solo exhibition in June 2022, and then followed up with two more collective Exhibitions as South Atelier Studio of Karl Froman, -along with a group of other renowned artists. Whilst studying, Mizzi is also an apprentice to the artist Karl Froman to keep enriching her experience.
